Item 5.02     Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On May 6, 2024, the Board of Directors of Olaplex Holdings, Inc. (the “Company”) appointed Paul Kosturos as interim Chief Financial Officer of the Company, effective May 6, 2024. Mr. Kosturos succeeds Eric Tiziani, who resigned from his role as Chief Financial Officer of the Company, effective May 6, 2024, as previously disclosed by the Company in its Current Report on Form 8-K filed by the Company with the Securities and Exchange Commission on April 4, 2024 (the “April 4 Form 8-K”).
Mr. Kosturos, age 59, is a Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement Group, LLC (“Alvarez & Marsal”), a management consulting firm, where he has worked since 2009. On April 3, 2024, the Company entered into an engagement letter with Alvarez & Marsal (the “Engagement Letter”) providing for Mr. Kosturos’ service as interim Chief Financial Officer. A description of the Engagement Letter was included in the April 4 Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference herein.
